I graduated from Portsmouth Abbey School in 1996 and graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in history from Colby College in 2000. Soon after I began my career in independent schools at The Webb School in Tennessee as a member of the Admissions Office, a dorm parent, and lacrosse coach. In 2004 I returned home to Rhode Island and to the Abbey to work in the Admissions Office and serve as the Director of Financial Aid. While at the Abbey I have taught various courses in the History Department, coached lacrosse, and been a houseparent in St. Martin’s House. In 2015, I completed my M.Ed.in Independent School Leadership at Vanderbilt University. I live on campus with my wife, Beth, and my children, Ben and Emily.

I started in the Office of Admission in July of 2008 after graduating from the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. While serving as a tour guide at UVA, my interest in admissions was sparked, and I knew secondary school admissions was the path I wanted to pursue. Having been raised on the grounds of The Hill School in Pottstown, PA, and having graduated from The Hill in 2004, I am thrilled to be back in a prep school setting. In addition to my admission responsibilities, I am the Head Houseparent of Manor House, the Fourth Form girls' dorm, and I coach the JVB girls' squash team and am the assistant coach of the JV girls' lacrosse team. I live on the third floor of the Manor House.

I graduated from Phillips Exeter Academy in 1999 and then attended St. Lawrence University where I earned my undergraduate degree in Economics and a masters degree in Educational Administration. While at St. Lawrence I was a member of the men’s hockey team all four years and won two ECAC championships. After graduating from St. Lawrence I began my career in Independent schools at Holderness School in Plymouth, NH. At Holderness I worked in the Admission Office, was the Assistant Dean of Students, taught Algebra, was a dorm parent/advisor and coached football, hockey and baseball. I look forward to getting back into the Admission Office at the Abbey and continuing to coach hockey. My wife, Stefanie, and son, Fitzy, are very excited to join the Abbey community.

As a member of Portsmouth Abbey’s Class of 2010 I was thrilled to be hired in the Office of Admission after I graduated from Salve Regina University in May of 2014. While I was a student at the Abbey I loved giving tours to prospective students and their families. As a Sixth Former I was a head of the Red Key Society, which gave me some insight into different aspects of the admission process. It is my hope that my unique and personal perspective as an alumna of the Abbey will help future students. In addition to being an Assistant Director of Admission, I live in Manor House as an Assistant Houseparent with my Boston Terrier named Penny and I am an Assistant Track & Field coach. I am delighted to be a part of such a great community.

Shortly after graduating from Amherst College in May 2013, I started working in the Office of Admission at Portsmouth Abbey. Prior to Amherst, I attended Suffield Academy in Suffield, CT and fell in love with the boarding school world. At Suffield I was a tour guide leader and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting with prospective students and their families. I am an avid golfer having played on the women’s golf team at Amherst, and I am delighted with our incredible golf course at the Carnegie Abbey Club. In addition to my role in the Office of Admission, I am the assistant coach for the Girls’ Varsity golf team and I am an assistant houseparent in St. Benet’s House. I love being a faculty member and a part of our amazing community at the Abbey!
