We look forward to meeting you and your family at Portsmouth Abbey School for an interview and tour of campus. The Admissions team is eager to welcome you to campus because it will help you to know us as well as we would like to know you!

Our School is located about 30 minutes from Providence and just over an hour from Boston.  We hope the following information will help you plan a relaxing trip and visit. We invite you to also read about our Travel Recommendations.

What To Expect

A typical visit begins with a tour of the campus provided by a student tour guide. The tour is followed by an interview with a member of the Admissions Office and a chance to ask any questions your family may have about how Portsmouth Abbey fits into your school search. Your visit will take approximately one-and-one-half to two hours.

If you have a particular area of interest that you would like to explore while on campus, please call our office to discuss special arrangements prior to your visit.

Visits are only scheduled while classes are in session to afford families the opportunity to see the School in action and to interact with our community. Classes are in session from 8:15 a.m. through 2:50 p.m.  On Wednesdays, classes end at 12:30 p.m. and on Saturdays at 11:55 a.m.  Please call us at 401-683-2005 to notify our office if you are anticipating a late arrival or if you need to re-schedule.
