Message from the Student Body Leaders

Dear Fellow Students,

        Reverence.  Respect.  Responsibility.  These three ideals encompass our daily lives and serve as paragons of the attributes we venture to possess.  As your peers we ask that you embrace and nurture these virtues.  Emit reverence for God and the human person.  Go beyond respect for learning and order and endeavor to discover the merit of a traditional education and the assets of order.  Radiate responsibility as you nurture talents, strive towards aspirations, and flourish together as young women and men.

        This school year stands before us filled with promise.  We must not fail to see the potential we harbor for success as individuals and as a community.  We stand upon a foundation of supportive family, friends and faculty impelling us to thrive academically, spiritually and athletically.

        As chosen members of this school we all possess the qualities and have the opportunity to make a difference not only for our future, but for the future of the community at large.  We possess the competence to transcend the expectations of our leaders and to surpass the model established by our forerunners.  Let us wield this potential and unite as a single entity devoted to the constructive evolution of our school community, and all the while remembering to forge life-long friendships, create fond memories and to enjoy each and every day at Portsmouth Abbey School.
