Latin 1
The course introduces students to the foundation language and by emphasizing careful formation of words, starts them thinking coherently and logically about language and its usage. After one year the students will have a mastery of a significant part of basic grammar and syntax, and be able to read and compose continuous elementary Latin. This success will enable them to elect with confidence to continue into the second year.
