French 2 (Honors)
Students continue learning vocabulary and more basic grammar structures as well as to read and write in the new language. The language becomes a tool by which students engage in meaningful conversation. The emphasis is placed on verb tenses and students begin to apply them in conversation. Students learn to talk about travel, food, health, and shopping, and are required to use this information in artistic projects and oral presentations. The students also learn about French Culture and history by reading Lisions Comme-ça! The book Le Petit Prince by Saint-Exupéry is read in conjunction with the basic textbook. The class is conducted entirely in French.
