French AP Literature
The Advanced Placement French Literature course is designed to introduce students who have obtained a grade of 4 or above in the French AP language exam to the formal study of literary texts in French. Students gain proficiency in the fundamental langauge skills that enable them to read and understand prose, verse, and drama of moderate difficulty and adult content from different literary periods and formulate and express critical opinions and judgments in correct oral and written French. The students develop the ability to read and analyze critically and to discuss such works. They also acquire the basic concepts and terminology of textual analysis.
