Biology (AP)
Topics covered in this course are equivalent to a college survey class in Biology, with students delving into the concepts by doing intense laboratory activities correlated with independent reading in the textbook. Class time is spent primarily on the laboratory investigations, enabling the students to learn experientially and reinforcing the reading in the text. Chemistry 1 is a prerequisite. Biology (AP) may be taken as a first course in Biology if recommended by the department or as a second course in Biology by students with a strong science background.
