Ceramics
Ceramics is offered to Portsmouth Abbey students as an advanced art course. This is a course designed to further the abilities of students who have had some previous experience. Projects involving wheel-throwing, slab and coil building, and modeling will be the basis for the course. Through the aid of drawings, students will enhance their understanding of forms and surfaces. Glazes and colorants will also be explored as means of further developing each piece's aesthetic appeal. To register for this course, a student must first receive permission from the Art Department.
