The Hobie 16 North American Championship took place last week in Narragansett Rhode Island. In a repeat of last year's championship, Portsmouth Abbey School Sixth Form student Juan Maegli '07 sailied with fellow Guatemalan Enrique Arathoon, and finished the week in second. The Providence Journal cited several of the Portsmouth Abbey Varsity Field Hockey players in its sports section on Saturday, September 16th, under the heading of YESTERDAY'S STARS. The Journal states, " Caroline Greene '07 and Ali Boglioli '09 scored three goals apiece and Chantra Pimolwantana '07 added two others to lead the Portsmouth Abbey field-hockey team to an 8-1 victory over Beaver Country Day". Congratulations to the team and to Head Coach Becky Swissler and Assistant Coach Aroline Seibert for the early return on their coaching skills.
