Raoul Oloa '07 Hits 1,000 Mark in Boys' Varsity Basketball

Playing on an ankle he severely sprained just last week, Raoul Oloa scored the 11 points he needed to reach the 1,000 career point plateau while leading Portsmouth Abbey to a league win over PCD 55-40. Working in front of an anxiously expecting crowd Oloa netted his big bucket in the opening minute of the second half on a put-back lay up. Portsmouth Abbey's lead remained comfortable for much of the game but some hot shooting by PCD kept the visitors within striking distance. Brendan Kinnane played very well for the Abbey netting 8 points and dishing 5 assists while Oloa finished with 17 points.
