The Portsmouth Abbey Varisty Girls' Squash team won the New England Division C tournament this weekend. Lead by captain Jen Gerlach through two full days of squash, the Ravens beat out 7 other teams to tally the most points for victory. Additionally, the Abbey brought home 5 individual trophies in 5 of the 7 flights. Jen Gerlach was first runner-up for the second flight after upsetting the second seed in the second round of play. Ana Lopez came into the third flight as the top seed and won. Catherine Kennedy was the first runner-up in the fourth flight. Mary Chegwidden was the first runner-up in the sixth flight. And finally, Isabella Maegli was the winner of the seventh flight. In the final matches on Sunday, Olivia Simone did well in the consolation round, and Laura Dobbs tallied the winning 5 points for the team to clinch the tournament.
