A. GOALS AND VALUES
* Do you have a clear vision of your goals in life?
* Are you satisfied with your accomplishments to date?
* What kind of person would you like to become?
* What would you most like to change about yourself?
* What do you care most about?
* What event or experiences in your life so far have had the greatest influence on your thinking and the formation of your values?

B. EDUCATION
* Which subjects and courses have you enjoyed the most?
* Which have been most difficult or least enjoyable?
* How do you learn best? (in a competitive atmosphere, working independently, working with others?)
* Do you need teachers to push you or are you self-motivated?
* If you could live your high school years over again, what would you do differently?

C. ACTIVITIES AND INTERESTS
* What extracurricular activities at school have been most important and enjoyable to you?
* What kind of commitment have you shown in your activities?
* What about activities outside school?
* What is the relative importance to you of your activities vs. your academic commitment?
* If you have shown no interest in activities, why is this so?

D. PERSONALITY AND RELATIONSHIPS WITH OTHERS
* Which relationships are most important to you? Why?
* Describe your best friends.  Are they similar or different from you?
* Do you have any heroes or heroines, current or historic?  If so, why these, in particular?
* What bothers you most about the world around you?
* If you could change the world, where would you start?
* What kind of person are you?  What adjectives would you use to describe yourself?  What are your finest qualities?  Your most conspicuous shortcomings?
* Would your best friend, your parents or your teachers agree with the description of yourself at which you have just arrived?  If not, maybe you'd better do some more thinking!
