St. Bede's Captures Hotly Contested 2008 Trivia Bowl

In a spirited contest held yesterday in the SLH, the men of St. Bede's wrested this year's Trivia Bowl title from St. Hugh's, which has had an iron-clad grip on the crown in recent years.
With categories that included Portsmouth Abbey School, Sports, Pop Culture, TV/Movies and Geography -- along with the ever-tricky "Random" category -- knowledge and intellect were tested, with each House sending its top trivia talent to the podium to out-wit the competition. When the dust had settled and the last question had been answered, St. Bede's had prevailed, and perennial dominant force St. Hugh's was sent packing in Fourth Place.
This year's Spirit Award went to the women of St. Brigid's, whose lively participation kept the event entertaining for all.
Final Standings, 2008 Trivia Bowl:
1st Place -- St. Bede's
2nd Place -- St. Leo's
3rd Place -- St. Brigid's ("Most Spirited" Award)
4th Place -- St. Hugh's
