Students Showcase Talent at Portsmouth Art Guild

The work of Portsmouth Abbey student artists Elizabeth Papi '08, Elena Minondo '08, Ethan DaPonte '10, Hyun Ji Park '11, Joseph Gallagher '10, Patrick Lohuis '10, Michelle Brereton '08, Elizabeth Childs '08, Emily Pederson '08, Jonathan Hughes '08, Micaela Adams '08, Lucy Snyder '08, Felicity McDonough '11, Liz Chang '11, Shannon Mulholland '11 and Zach Hasselbring '10 have been selected by the Portsmouth Abbey art faculty to be exhibited in a student show at the Portsmouth Arts Guild located at The Center for the Arts. Titled, Emerging Artists: A Student Show, this exhibit features student work from local high schools: Portsmouth, Middletown, Newport, and Tiverton. The show runs April 3rd - April 27th and the opening is this Friday, April 4th, from 6 - 8:00 pm. Regular gallery hours are Thursday thru Sunday 1 - 5pm.
Students and parents are invited to the opening. Entertainment will be provided by high school band Sidewinder, who will begin playing at 7pm. Sidewinder has been an opening act at the Newport Jazz Café. If you can't make it to the opening, be sure to visit the gallery during its visiting hours listed above.
