Nearly 80 students of the 156 accepted for the 2008-09 School year and their families returned to Portsmouth this past weekend for a "Closer Look" at Portsmouth before making their final decision to attend next fall.   On Saturday, April 5, and Monday, April 7, both boarding and day students had the opportunity to visit classrooms, meet faculty, enjoy a meal in the Dining Hall, and listen to current students share their Abbey experiences.  While prospective students were getting a good idea of what it is like to be a Raven, their parents were touring dormitories, attending classes, and hearing from Headmaster Dr. De Vecchi, current students, faculty and houseparents about life at Portsmouth Abbey.   The deadline for students to enroll is Thursday, April 10.
