2009 Summer Program News -- Students drawn from around the world will again gather this summer to participate in the Portsmouth Abbey Summer Program from Sunday, June 28, through Saturday, July 25.  The four-week program offers courses in literature, creative writing, public speaking, economics, and mathematics.  Read more about the 2009 Portsmouth Abbey Summer Program...;

A special addition to these traditional courses is a Film & Culture seminar and workshop designed to introduce students to the methods, means, and substance of visual storytelling in movies!  Taking advantage of our unique position on the shores of Narragansett Bay, all of the students will spend at least one full week in the afternoons getting their feet wet in a Marine & Environmental Sciences class and another week learning the different drawing and painting techniques used to capture the beauty of our natural surroundings in the Landscape Painting class.  If you are interested in learning more about this Summer Program please contact Peter O'Connor, Director of the Summer Program, at summer@portsmouthabbey.org.
