Major Gifts Officer

The Major Gifts Officer is responsible for working with the Assistant
Headmaster of Institutional Stewardship and the Director of Development to
implement a capital gift program and support a dramatic increase in the
quality and volume of contact the School has with its key constituents. The
energetic self-starter we seek will play a key role in the School's
fundraising program. Duties include managing a pool of prospects and donors
with particular emphasis on major gifts ($25,000 or more), secondary
responsibility includes directing the School's Annual Fund and working with
other Development Office personnel to execute a successful Annual Fund
campaign.

Bachelor's degree, 5+ years experience in fundraising (or related sales and
marketing activities); Familiarity with independent secondary schools
preferable. General or specific knowledge about Portsmouth Abbey School is a
major plus.
