Sixth Former Austin Kreinz has certainly left his mark on Ravens' football during his two-year career at Portsmouth Abbey. The Delafield, Wisc., native closed out this season with an Abbey record of 27 touchdowns (of the team's 2012 total of 35 TDs), bringing his two-year total to 35 touchdowns -- another School record.
Austin, a running back, earned several significant honors for his performance this fall: he, along with teammate Severin St. Claire, was selected All-New England; he was named the Evergreen League Player of the Year; and, most recently, he was selected as the New England Prep School Athletic Council's "Prep School Football Class C Co-Player of the Year."
"Austin is a great leader, player and displays great sportsmanship," said Abbey Director of Athletics and Head Varsity Football Coach Al Brown. "He is well deserving of all the recognition that he has received."
Austin has committed to the University of Pennsylvania for next fall, where he will play lacrosse. A Dean's List student, Austin was a co-captain of the football team.
Congratulations, Austin!
