The Hall Manor Society
A way for members of the Portsmouth Abbey
community to become partners in promise...
The search for meaning in life is never-ending. Where is fulfillment? What gives us purpose? Can we achieve our potential and promise? How may we best serve our Lord and our fellow man?
Portsmouth Abbey's 1,500-year tradition of Benedictine service stands ready to become your partner in finding a personal answer to such questioning. By contributing toward the Abbey's monastic mission to educate youth for lives of "knowledge and grace," you will have the assurance of supporting an endeavor of lasting importance.
A partnership of donor and charity can fulfill multiple goals. For example, you may wish to provide for your family and heirs while creating a significant legacy of charitable intent. Both are possible by integrating giving to Portsmouth Abbey School into long-term plans for investing and building wealth.
There are many instruments for charitable giving. Portsmouth Abbey School works with State Street Global Advisors, a subsidiary of State Street Bank and Trust, one of the largest investment managers of planned giving assets in the United States, to stay abreast of the most effective avenues for combining personal investing, estate planning and charitable giving.
By using one or more of the available methods and by planning ahead in partnership with Portsmouth you will find yourself well on the road to fulfilling a lasting promise.
Over the years, the Manor House (originally known as Hall Manor) has played a part in the life of every Portsmouth graduate. Whether one's association is of a dormitory room, dining room, a place where tea was served, the School Library, or its present use as the Admissions Office as well as a girls residence, the Manor House remains a universally recognized symbol for the School. The Hall Manor Society honors those members of the Portsmouth Abbey School family who become partners in promise.
If you have included Portsmouth in your will or trust, established a life-income plan with Portsmouth, or made the Monastery or School the beneficiary of an insurance policy or retirement plan, you are eligible to join The Hall Manor Society. Membership entitles you to recognition in certain Portsmouth Abbey publications (if you so choose) and invitations to special events. Most importantly, however, membership in The Hall Manor Society signifies that you are part of an organization committed to securing the future of Portsmouth Abbey.
