Juan Maegli ’07 has qualified to represent Guatemala in the Laser Fleet at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing China for sailing.  Securing a bid for his country by winning the gold at the Pan American Games in 2007, Juan has had an active sailing calendar with training in Mallorca and Tenerife in Spain as well as the South of France with the Spanish, Argentinean and Uruguayan Olympic teams.  As only the 6^th athlete to qualify for the Olympics from Guatemala he looks forward to representing his country in the Games.
