Jim Garman, Former Faculty and Local Historian Discusses Book November 13, 2008
Jim Garmen, former parent and faculty member of Portsmouth Abbey School recently gave a lecture on his latest book entitled "Looking Back: Historic Tales of Newport County," at Blenheim-Newport, an assisted living facility in Newport, RI. The book features stories of Newport County's rum running, coal mining and weathering of storms, such as the 1938 and 1954 hurricanes.
