PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Communications Assistant serves in a part-time staff position with flexible hours. The assistant supports the Communications Office staff in Portsmouth Abbey School's outreach initiatives. Duties include marketing and promotional efforts for all departments of the School; production and organization of digital materials, as well as Website content update and management; and coverage of School activities.

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES:

¨       Outreach and promotion of Portsmouth Abbey's programs

¨       Serve as an interdepartmental liaison for production coordination

¨       Web site posting and content management

¨       On-campus photography and digital file management

¨       Support the production of electronic newsletters

¨       Assist with preparation of presentations; Manage in-house print projects

¨       Serve as vendor liaison for project production

¨       Assist in the general organization/backup of Communications materials, supplies and information

QUALIFICATIONS

¨       Strong interpersonal skills with a proactive attitude; ability to work as a team player

¨       Excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational skills and attention to detail

¨       Knowledge of/experience with digital media

¨       Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and willingness to learn new skills

¨       High degree of comfort with the use of digital communication
