Form IV October 2022

Parents' Weekend

October 27, 28 & 29

Schedule Here

Hello Fourth Form Families!

The first month of school flew by! Our boys have settled into a routine and are enjoying staying late on campus some evenings to spend time with friends before coming home and tackling homework.  We hope that your students are also enjoying time with friends while keeping up with the Humanities readings, other homework, and athletics!  Some of the highlights for PJ this fall have been the outdoor movie night with s’mores and the school’s first-ever Homecoming Weekend!

We are looking forward to seeing many of you during Parents’ Weekend in just about a week!  We’re excited to attend classes on Friday and curious (with maybe a touch of trepidation) to hear what our sons’ teachers will have to say at Parent/Teacher Conferences.  We are also very much looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new families at the reception Thursday evening and the Form lunch on Saturday.

October 27th – 29th - Here are some highlights:

o   Thursday, October 27th – Parents’ Association Reception, please RSVP here

o   Friday, October 28th – Attend classes with your student followed by Parent/Teacher Conferences

o   Saturday, October 29th – Parent/Teacher Conferences, Form Luncheon

Check the Parent Portal for the full schedule!

As a reminder, there are no classes Monday, October 31, and Tuesday, November 1. Boarding students must be back on campus by 9pm on Tuesday (varsity athletes are asked to return for Tuesday afternoon practice). Our sons are certainly looking forward to the long weekend!  Even though there are no classes, the school is open and your children are welcome to stay on campus or return to campus early. It’s also a good time to try and get in those routine doctor, dentist, and orthodontic appointments without having to worry about missing classes or practice.  We will be taking PJ to get his driver’s permit during that time!

If you are on campus for Parents’ Weekend, please seek us out!  We look forward to seeing many of you that weekend!  If you cannot attend, we understand!  As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have questions!

Warmly,

Matthew ’97 and Ann Marie ’96 Forbes
parents of Patrick ’25 and Jack ’26
