Message from the Chairs
Dear Abbey Families,
What a spectacular Parents' Weekend! We enjoyed speaking to many of you throughout the weekend and were grateful for the opportunity to share our enthusiasm for the Abbey with you. We felt such a rush of warmth and joy throughout the entire Abbey community. We enjoyed attending classes and teacher conferences as well as gaining a firsthand view of the dedication and passion of our faculty and a sense of what it means to grow in knowledge and grace. We are so grateful to our monks, faculty, administrators, coaches, and staff for all of the guidance and support they so graciously offer our children.
During Parents' Weekend, we also had the opportunity to describe how the Annual Fund is used each year to enrich and support the student experience and directly benefit all Portsmouth Abbey students. Parent Participation Month commenced on October 15 and will conclude on November 15 and celebrates the important role of parent support of the Annual Fund.
Over the years, the generosity of our full community has been impressive and a testament to the value placed on a Portsmouth Abbey education, by alumni as well as families and current students. Last year, nearly 80% of families contributed to the Annual Fund. Our goal is to reach a minimum of 60% participation by November 15 and 100% participation before the end of our fiscal year on June 30. If you have not yet had the opportunity to give, please consider making a pledge or donation during Parent Participation Month. The Parents' Association leadership will contribute an additional $15,000 to the Annual Fund upon reaching 60% participation or higher by November 15! We are immensely grateful for all you do to make the blessing of the Abbey experience possible.
As the end of the Fall term approaches, do not hesitate to reach out to us with any questions or concerns. We are always eager to hear from you.
Happy Thanksgiving!
With gratitude and all our best,
