After only three seasons competing as a varsity team, volleyball had an amazing season right up to the end. The Varsity posted one of the best win/loss records in New England among the 79 schools of the NEPSGVA; they won the EIL Championship, and secured #1 seeds in both the EIL Tournament and the New England Class C Tournament. After a whole year of canceled games due to COVID, the spirit and energy of the team drew large crowds for each of their games as the season progressed. Although they didn't win it all the Portsmouth Abbey community is extremely proud of the performance and sportsmanship of this entire squad and their historic season is not one that will be forgotten soon!

John Huynh is the head coach, assisted by Jessica De Gree and Scott Wilson. This year’s captains are Gwen Bragan '22 and Marisa Scartozzi '22.

I am extremely grateful to everyone in the program (managers, players, parents, coaches) for contributing to the success of the team this season, and for previous athletes, who helped lay a solid foundation for this year's team.
