Faculty Showcase Work in Annual Art Exhibit January 9-February 2

The first show of the new year in the McEvoy Gallery will be the annual Faculty Art Exhibit, running January 9-February 2. The show features the artwork of Portsmouth Abbey School’s talented visual arts faculty and other pieces created by faculty from various academic departments and disciplines.

“For the visual arts faculty, it is important to allow their students to see the caliber of their work in person, said Mark Nadeau, chair of the department. “For the rest of the faculty, showcasing their artwork allows students to see a different, more personal side to their personalities outside the classroom.”

The exhibit includes Untitled (201803_1), a 48’’x 48’’ oil on canvas by Nadeau, and Beach Girls, a 9” X 12” oil on linen panel board by Ryan Walker. Also participating are faculty members Allie Micheletti, Lauren Revay, Catherine Caplin, and Elizabeth Benestad, among others.

An opening reception for the Annual Faculty Art Exhibit is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 10.
