Kerry Alys Robinson to be Portsmouth Abbey School’s 91st Commencement Speaker

The Board of Regents and Headmaster of Portsmouth Abbey School are proud to announce that Kerry Alys Robinson will deliver the commencement address to the Class of 2021 on Sunday, May 30.

Ms. Robinson holds a B.A. degree from Georgetown University and an M.A.R. degree from Yale Divinity School, concentrating in ethics. As an undergraduate she studied at Trinity College in Dublin and L’Institute Catholique in Paris. She serves as a partner of Leadership Roundtable, promoting best practices in the management, finances and human resource development of the Catholic Church in the U.S., including greater incorporation of the expertise of the laity. Ms. Robinson has been a lifelong member of the Raskob Foundation for Catholic Activities and FADICA (Foundations and Donors Interested in Catholic Activities.) She has been an advisor to and trustee of numerous national and international grantmaking foundations and charitable nonprofits.

Prior to Leadership Roundtable, Ms. Robinson served as the director of development for Saint Thomas More Catholic Chapel and Center at Yale University where she led a successful $75 million capital campaign to expand Catholic life on campus. She is an ardent advocate of Catholic social teaching, women and young adults in the Church.

A frequent writer and international speaker, Ms. Robinson is the prize-winning author of Imagining Abundance: Fundraising, Philanthropy and a Spiritual Call to Service.

She and her husband, Dr. Michael Cappello, have two children, Christopher and Sophie.
