Portsmouth Abbey School's Director of Instrumental Music, Joe Bentley, has been invited to perform as a soloist with the Narragansett Bay Symphony Community Orchestra at Bishop McVinney Hall in Providence. On March 3, The Symphony will perform Brahms' Symphony no. 3, Lancen's Bass Concerto, and Bell's "Oneiroi." As the special guest, Mr. Bentley will play Serge Lancen's Concerto for Double Bass and Strings.

Tickets are sold on the Symphony website and run on a sliding scale in order to promote their Mission of accessibility with inexpensive tickets.

Students and faculty enjoyed a sneak peek of Mr. Bentley's performance during Music Block on February 14, when he performed a run-through with an accompanist.
