Social Distancing Journals: Caroline O'Reilly

During this time of social distancing we asked a number of our faculty for their recommendations for reading and watching, as well as other creative ways that they are spending their time; we will be sharing these over our spring term of distance learning.

Caroline O'Reilly teaches Spanish and is an assistant houseparent in Manor House. Below are her recommendations for books and shows that can help you keep your language skills up during this time!

1. Down Dog app, This is a free app for practicing yoga! There are a bunch of different options depending on level or length of the practice, and you can really customize it to fit into what you are looking for. A good, easy way to stay active, even inside!

2. Duolingo for language practice!!

3. Spanish Netflix shows: Las Chicas del Cable, Gran Hotel, Los Mares Altos...all good telenovela shows to practice Spanish listening.

4.  Jig-saw Puzzles

5. Little Fires Everywhere A quick read that's really interesting. It's a new show on Hulu so you can read it along with watching the show!
