Students present "Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood" in May

The Portsmouth Abbey School auditorium was transformed into Nottingham, England last week as students took to the stage to present Ken Ludwig’s play, Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood

Packed with thrills, romance, laughter, and immortal characters like Little John, Friar Tuck, and Maid Marian, this delightful play told the enduring story of a hero of the people who takes on the ruthless powers that be. With a remarkable set design, beautiful costumes, and lots of sword fighting, the Abbey students took the audience back to medieval times to tell the “dangerous, brave, fierce, bawdy, improbable, nay, disgraceful tale of Robin Hood!”

Sherwood: The Adventures of Robin Hood was performed for the Abbey community on Friday, May 19 at 7:00 p.m. and for a general audience on Saturday, May 20 at 7:30 p.m.
