In preparation for Portsmouth Abbey's inaugural Varsity Volleyball season, coaches John Huynh and Laureen Bonin attend a three-day volleyball clinic. Held at the Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, the Gold Medal Squared clinic was led by a staff that has been at the top of the game at every level. Dr. Doug Beal, co-founder of the clinic, posed for a photo-op with our very own coaches.

Beal coached USA's Men's National Team to its first ever gold medal in 1984, and in 2005 was named Chief Executive Officer of USA Volleyball. Mr. Huynh and Mrs. Bonin are looking forward to taking their protips to the girls this fall!
