The Department of Music held its Winter Term Concert Thursday, February 23. A short but sweet set list featured the Abbey Sinfonia, a flute concerto and two performances by the Abbey Singers.

The Abbey Sinfonia, directed by Joe Bentley, opened the concert with a strong and powerful piece "Warrior Legacy" by Soon Hee Newbold. Jennifer Rui '25 followed with "Flute Concerto in G Major, Movement 1" by Carl Stamitz. Finally, the Abbey Singers performed an a cappella Shaker hymn "Bow Down Low" by David Bridges. Last but not least, they closed the show with a high-energy rendition of "Try Everything" from the children's movie "Zootopia," arranged by Paul Langford and accompanied by Director of Music Michael Carnaroli on djembe, and Bentley on base guitar.

Jennifer Rui '25 performs solo on flute.
