Fall 2020 Schedule

Portsmouth Abbey is committed to providing an athletics program that has at its core skill development, tactical training, fitness, sportsmanship, teamwork and a healthy lifestyle. We are committed to this important component of an Abbey education and will follow the guidance of our Governor, the CDC, NEPSAC and the EIL in providing an educational and safe experience.

Preseason Program

Preseason athletes will begin returning on Tuesday, September 8, and Wednesday, September 9th. All Preseason information is on our website in the athletic section.

Sport-Specific and Multi Sport Training program

We will provide the opportunity to participate in sport-specific training program in our traditional sports with internal competition during the fall season. Teams will train in their sport and compete internally on campus. We will begin the term with fall sports and transition to spring and then winter sports after Parents Weekend in mid October.

Sport Clinics

For those students who want additional opportunities to improve their skills in spring and winter sports we will offer optional weekend clinics throughout the fall. There will be no conflict between sports on the weekends.

Athletics Beyond the Abbey

We will offer guidance and new and creative methods for those student/athletes who aspire to combine academics and athletics at the college level.
