Dear Parents and Student/Athletes,
I want to take this opportunity to provide information on our preseason athletic program. Preseason will take on a few new protocols paying close attention to the health and safety of student/athletes and the Abbey community. The preseason athletic program is for experienced student/athletes in forms III-VI in field hockey, football, boys’ soccer and girls’ soccer and volleyball. Students who return for preseason have prepared for the physical demands of 2-3 practices each day by following the workout program located in the athletic section of the Abbey website.
This year we will be registering preseason athletes on two separate days in order de densify the registration process and to allow for a thorough orientation. On Tuesday, September 8th Football, Girls’ Soccer and Volleyball will register and begin preseason and on Wednesday, September 9th Field Hockey and Boys’ Soccer will register and begin their preseason.
Preseason is short and intense and physical preparation is the key for individual and team success. If you have any questions about the preseason athletic program do not hesitate to contact me.
We are excited to have our students back on campus!

Boarders will reside in their academic year dorm rooms during preseason.
Day students are welcome at all preseason meals, practices and activities but there is no overnight housing for day students.
- All school rules are in effect during preseason. All preseason athletes and parents must thoroughly read the student handbook.
Boarders will be housed in their assigned school year housing.
Day students will participate in all preseason meals, practices and activities but will leave campus after the last practice and stay at home for the evening.
