Parent Participation Month: October 1-31, 2020

For the sixth year in a row, we are celebrating the important role parent philanthropy plays at Portsmouth Abbey during the month of October. Please consider making a gift or pledge to the Annual Fund between now and the end of the month to help us reach our goal of 100% parent participation.

As an added challenge, if parents reach a minimum of 60% participation by October 31, the Parents’ Association Leadership will contribute an additional $22,000 to the Annual Fund!

Why does your participation matter?

Your contribution goes directly to funding necessities and therefore, makes a direct impact on student lives each and every day. The School's financial strength is dependent upon the participation of all members of its community. A first-class Abbey education is the direct result of gifts from parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty and friends who believe in and financially support excellence in education. Income from the Annual Fund, the endowment and auxiliary programs can bridge the gap between tuition income and the operating budget. Your participation generates enthusiasm and encourages others to join you in supporting the Abbey.

Furthermore, foundations and corporations awarding grants to educational institutions often look at the level of parent and community participation in the School's Annual Fund as a key factor in determining which institutions will receive the grants.
