Parent Participation Month: October 15-November 15, 2022
From October 15 to November 15, we celebrated the important role parent support of the Annual Fund plays at Portsmouth Abbey School.
We are thrilled to announce that 70% of parents contributed more than $269,693 to the Annual Fund and successfully unlocked the $15,000 Parents' Association Leadership challenge! Thank you to the 216 parents who contributed to the Annual Fund to date, making these results possible.
Please see below to see how your Form finished Parent Participation Month, and special congratulations to our Form III parents for leading the way with 83.6% participation!
Why does your participation matter?
Your contribution goes directly to funding necessities and therefore, makes a direct impact on student lives each and every day. The School's financial strength is dependent upon the participation of all members of its community. A first-class Abbey education is the direct result of gifts from parents, grandparents, alumni, faculty and friends who believe in and financially support excellence in education. Income from the Annual Fund, the endowment and auxiliary programs can bridge the gap between tuition income and the operating budget. Your participation generates enthusiasm and encourages others to join you in supporting the Abbey.
Furthermore, foundations and corporations awarding grants to educational institutions often look at the level of parent and community participation in the School's Annual Fund as a key factor in determining which institutions will receive the grants.
