The Abbey, as we affectionately call our school, is the unique combination of being both an independent school and a Catholic school, anchored in Benedictine traditions. To me, this represents the best of both worlds. As an independent school, we offer an innovative curriculum, small class sizes, expert teaching, and world-class facilities. As a Benedictine Catholic school we are focused on educating the whole person, developing character and decision-making, all while wrestling with the big questions. We sum up this duality in our mission statement, “helping young men and women grow in knowledge and grace.” While “knowledge” represents your intellect, “grace” is harder to define. Your personal definition of “grace” will evolve during your time at the Abbey but will include your social-emotional intelligence and how we interact with each other in the community.
While our website can provide a thorough introduction, there is no substitute for visiting us on campus. We would love to host you for a student-led tour and an interview with an Admission Officer. We offer tours and interviews six days a week, Monday through Saturday, between September and the end of January.
