Annual Alumni and Student Exhbition
The McGuire Fine Arts Center welcomes visitors to the annual student and alumni exhibition. This year, the gallery showcases the growth, dedication, and technical skills of developing artists across multiple disciplines.
The annual Alumni & Student Exhibition in the McEvoy Gallery features artwork completed during the 2025–26 academic year by recent alumni and returning students in Advanced Art, Fundamentals of Art, Ceramics, Photography and 2-D.
In the Fundamentals of Art course, students pushed the boundaries of depth and dimension using only simple graphite pencils. They mastered advanced shading techniques and vanishing points, transforming flat paper into striking, three-dimensional spaces.
The Photography students took a closer look at the world around them, capturing local landscapes and experimenting with vibrant color compositions. Through their lenses, they learned to manipulate natural light and frame everyday moments into compelling visual stories.
The exhibition also features Advanced Art student work, highlighted by an impressive oil-on-canvas board piece by alumnus Reed Heelan ’26. This rigorous course challenges experienced artists to master classic, timeless techniques while developing their own style. Students spent months layering rich pigments and experimenting with complex mediums to achieve texture, depth, and emotional weight in the final pieces.
