Portsmouth Abbey School, renowned for its well-rounded and rigorous education, has consistently sent students to some of the world's top colleges and universities. This year is no exception. Several members of the Class of 2025 will begin their higher education experience at well-known schools, including the California Institute of Technology (Caltech), Cornell University, Columbia University and Stanford University.

One student will attend the United States Military Academy at West Point. Two received Naval Reserve Officer Corps (NROTC) Scholarships, and two more received NROTC Marine Corps Program Option Scholarships and were among only 150 recipients nationwide to be selected in the first round of award recipients.

Ten Catholic schools, University of Notre Dame, Boston College, The College of the Holy Cross, Catholic University of America, Villanova University, Sacred Heart University, Saint John Fisher University, Merrimack College, Assumption College and Providence College have been chosen as a new “home away from home” for several Ravens.

Seven students have their hearts set on Northeastern University, and a few schools returned to the list of choices for 2025, including New York University, University of Chicago, Vanderbilt University, Rice University, Emory University and Washington University in St. Louis.

Four students will be following their dreams to play in the National Collegiate Development Conference junior hockey league (NCDC) after winning the Holt Conference for the first time in school history. They will attend college after spending one or two years in the league.

Approximately 15 percent of the graduating Class of 2025 have committed to playing their sport at the collegiate level. This percentage is above the national average.

No matter where the Class of 2025 begins or ends their collegiate journey, we are confident in their understanding of knowledge and grace, and we look forward to learning about their achievements.
