Girl's Varsity Lacrosse
Girls lacrosse is a member of the Eastern Independent League (EIL). EIL member schools include Bancroft School, Beaver Country Day, Berwick Academy, Concord Academy, Dana Hall School, Landmark School, Lexington Christian, Newton Country Day, Pingree School and Winsor School. We also compete against traditional rivals St. George's, Tabor Academy, and Worcester Academy.
The girls lacrosse program at Portsmouth Abbey School encourages players to set and strive for goals, both individually and as a team. Players strive to improve their individual ball handling skills as well as their understanding of team play. Players and coaches work to create a supportive team atmosphere where students grow not just athletically, but as people and as members of a team. Sportsmanship is always a priority. While we work hard on fitness and skills, we never forget that sports, and the camaraderie of a team, should also be fun. We seek to respect and enjoy the game and each other every time we step onto the field.
