Murder, Mystery and Music in Portsmouth Abbey’s Production of “Curtains”

Portsmouth Abbey School is proud to present “Curtains,” a delightful murder-mystery musical from the creators of “Cabaret” and “Chicago”. The talented cast brings this funny and heart-warming story to life, along with a live orchestra and stunning sets and costumes. 

It’s the brassy, bright, and promising year of 1959. Boston’s Colonial Theatre is host to the opening night performance of a new musical. When the leading lady mysteriously dies on stage, the cast and crew are suspects. Enter a local detective who happens to be a musical theatre fan. Packed with glorious tunes and a witty, charming script filled with delightful characters, “Curtains” is a hilarious journey for both performers and the audience.

Performances will occur this weekend on Saturday, February 17, at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, February 18, at 2 p.m. in the Portsmouth Abbey School auditorium. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 for seniors and children under 12 and can be purchased at the door.
